Additional Programs
Wolf Pack Combat Academy offers a few additional programs for people who want to expand their skill set or try something outside their usual routine. These classes give you the chance to pick up practical techniques, explore other styles, and add more depth to your development as a martial artist.
Eskrima
Inayan Eskrima is a Filipino martial art focused on practical weapon and empty-hand skills. Training includes single and double sticks, blade awareness, and close-range hand-to-hand techniques. The emphasis is on angles, timing, and understanding how to move with purpose when things happen quickly.
Students learn to read intent, manage distance, and react with clear, direct movements. Drills progress from structured patterns to more responsive exchanges, building the ability to apply techniques under pressure.
Working with weapons sharpens reflexes, coordination, and decision-making, while also giving students a stronger sense of spatial awareness. These skills translate well to everyday personal safety and provide insight into a combat art with deep cultural roots.

Jeremy Pieper
Owner, Catalyst Martial Arts
Jeremy has been training in the Inayan System of Eskrima for over 15 years and holds the rank of Kadua Guro. Before that, he earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and spent several years studying Danzan Ryu Jujitsu, giving him a well-rounded foundation in striking, grappling, and self-defense. But Eskrima is where he found his true martial arts home. His focus is on real-world self-defense and learning how to adapt in the moment—both in training and in life. For Jeremy, martial arts is about becoming a stronger, more grounded version of yourself. Come train with him to see how this art can challenge you, center you, and help you grow.

R.A.T.
Rapid Assault Tactics (RAT) concentrates on the first few seconds of an encounter—when reactions are instinctive and space is limited. Training revolves around shutting down incoming threats quickly, using pressure, positioning, and decisive strikes to break momentum before an attacker can continue.
Students practice recognizing immediate openings, driving forward with intent, and staying committed to a single, clear objective rather than juggling multiple options. The emphasis is on simplicity: a small set of movements trained until they’re automatic.
Sessions often include short, intense scenarios that mirror the sudden, chaotic nature of real confrontations. This helps students build the ability to act sharply and with direction, even when the situation feels fast and unpredictable.
Coach Evans currently teaches R.A.T. at MATC and is available for private lessons or seminars.
Women's
Self-Defense
Our self-defense program focuses on practical skills you can use in the kinds of situations people actually face day-to-day. Training covers clear, straightforward techniques for dealing with common grabs, pushes, holds, and unexpected contact, along with simple ways to create space and get to safety.
Students work on awareness, body positioning, and recognizing early signs of trouble, as well as how to stay organized under stress. Instead of memorizing sequences, the goal is learning how to react quickly with movements that hold up when things are fast and messy.
Classes mix technique breakdowns with controlled drills so you can practice responding to pressure without feeling overwhelmed. Over time, you build confidence in your ability to protect yourself and make better decisions in unfamiliar or uncomfortable situations.
